A Message from Our President, Lee Nash (Eta Tau, 2004)
It's been a great May for the Houston Alumni Chapter of Sigma Chi! With the help of Paul Pettit, we've revamped our
monthly luncheons with a new location (Federal Grill - Hedwig Village), a new focus on business, networking, and a speaker series. In our May luncheon, we had 28 brothers attend, the largest attendance since pre-pandemic, including many brothers that live and work in Houston and had not attended any prior Sigma Chi alumni function. We hope you join us June 7th to har Niels Aalund, former SVP of the West Gulf Maritime Association, coming to talk to us about the logistics and shipping business and recent challenges in that area.
We just had a very successful 2nd annual "Sig Silver Boot" series on May 21st with nearly 60 brothers from Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston coming together to enjoy our brotherhood and watch the Astros beat the Rangers! The series is now tied 1-1 and
heading back to Arlington next year! The event not only gave us a chance to enjoy brotherhood, but raised another $2,500 towards Huntsman Cancer Institute that was donated in honor of the three alumni chapters. We hope to see you soon at an HAC event. The Houston Alumni Chapter of Sigma Chi is thriving and growing!
