A Message From Our President
Dear Worthy Brothers,
Once the Houston Alumni Chapter (HAC) wrapped up the 2025 78 th Annual Wild Game
Dinner, we got to work on creating the HAC Scholarship Fund, in coordination with a
new “HAC Sigma Chi Network” database. Our work doesn’t stop, wanting to have the
HAC continually recognized as one of Sigma Chi’s premier alumni organizations.
Through the Sigma Chi Foundations’ 501(c)(3) program, we’ve established our own
HAC Scholarship Fund. While we do have a little more work to do, we’re ready to start
funding the HAC Scholarship and sharing the purpose and goals with our fellow HAC
Sigma Chi Brothers. We expect to be able to award our inaugural HAC Scholarship at
the 80 th Annual Wild Game Dinner in February of 2027.
Our goal is to Connect Sigma Chi brothers, primarily in the Greater Houston Area, with
Sig-Owned businesses, Sigma Chi professionals, and Sigma Chi service providers,
while creating a fund large enough to perpetually award an annual $2,500 collegiate
scholarship to the child of an HAC member and/or undergraduate brother – possibly 2!
Our purpose is to promote engagement between Sigma Chi alumni brothers, Sigma Chi
businesses, and undergraduates, maximizing the relationships of the 7,000+ brothers in
our area, to encourage the next generation of students to become successful adults and
active members of their community.
Brothers, including their businesses or companies, are encouraged to donate any
amount that you may be comfortable with. For as little as $250, we will contact you to
place your name/company into the HAC Sigma Chi Network, which will be published
within the www.HoustonSigs.org HAC website. For larger donations of $1,000, $2,500,
$5,000, etc., we will “emphasize and highlight” your donations towards the HAC
Scholarship Fund, within the HAC Sigma Chi Network.
Our fundraising goal by 12/31/25 is $64,000, then another $86,000 by 12/31/26. That
totals $150,000 and would put the HAC into a position to perpetually offer two (2)
$2,500 scholarships to deserving young men, or women, who will become the future
leaders of our community.
To begin your donation process, please click on the link below, to make your tax
deductible contribution towards this effort.

As you complete the donation link information, please use the Comments section to
include what specific information that you would like to have included as a part of your
HAC Sigma Chi Network listing – your name, company name, phone number, e-mail
address, website, brief business description.
The HAC Board looks forward to presenting scholarships to young and deserving
brothers and students for years to come, to connecting brothers to Sig-Owned business
to receive trustworthy services or merchandise, and to fostering a reciprocal relationship
between our alumni brothers and undergraduate chapters. Without you and your
support, none of this would be possible.
In Hoc,
Ralph Coatsworth, IV
Sigma Chi HAC President
